14 June 05 - Misc. Panel Stuff

Dad's out of town, so I'm hunting projects that can be done with half the hands that we normally have in the shop. Mounting hardware came in today from Aircraft Spruce, and I was already thinking about getting instruments in the panel, so we'll see what we can come up with for the next few days.

Let's start with the easiest one. Airspeed . . .
. . . and VSI. The arrow points to the indentation so it can be adjusted while still in the panel. The indentation is not quite the right shape yet, so a bit more work is necessary.

Slow going. The general procedure for the cutouts so far has been to use a dremel and then a file. The existence of the dremel makes this faster, but it still takes awhile. Back at it tomorrow, I'm sure.
