26 Dec 04 - Electric Flap Stuff, Cont.

Today we'll pick up where we left off working before the chaos of the holidays - the electric flaps. Nothing really amazing here, we're just sort of following the plans, with, well, more than the average number of distractions. The whole family's home, though, so it's all good.

Test fit in the fuselage. Looks like this is where it's going to fit . . . just need to finish the connecting piece.
Yeah, that piece right there. After lots of head-scratching and lining it up, looks like it fits okay. This was right before match drilling the holes for the screws. We still have to do the nutplates, though.
Er . . . not really RV-related, but cool. Hopefully we're not going to need that scrap. (Thanks to Doug Reeves for the idea for this fun little diversion.)
Drilled, deburred, primed, with the nutplates and stuff riveted on. Yada yada yada, you know the routine.

Well, looks like we're doing okay with this stuff. This always takes longer than I think it's going to, though. Tomorrow, we'll finish up F-767, which is the little part that connects the flap motor holder to the horizontal brace above. Theoretically, we're almost done with this part, I guess.
